I think the title pretty much speaks for itself. Basically I'm wondering how we all prefer to work, as a group effort or a one-man job? Does anyone have experience with both?
Personally, my writing is trash, so working alone is not an option. I would be entirely lost without my writer, and trying to film more than 3 characters at a time would be entirely out of the question without the rest of FSMG Production backing me up.
To you guys who prefer the lone wolf act, why do you choose to? What are the benefits and shortcomings?

When I was younger, I never really had access to help and never knew that forums existed. So I always worked on my own when it came to game design and such. Eventually I discovered Machinimas and became interested in filming, writing, and sound design. Afterwards I found myself working in literally every field.
About six years going lone wolf, I finally discovered that the internet isn't just for entertainment but for help. So eventually I ended up helping smaller machinima groups in terms of Voice Acting and Brain Storming. So I have also had experience with Team work.
Both sides have their pros and cons. If you go lone wolf, you wouldn't have to worry about concerning a team about any changes you're going to make. Instead you can just go ahead and take action, no questions asked. The best part is that you can work at your own pace. However, if you're going solo you'll run into problems such as losing interest, having a huge work load, and worst of all you'll have to learn everything on your own.
Now working with a team means that you can plan out your guys to work in X department, Y department, and you and your buddies can work on Z department. This allows for faster progress and overall a better experience. However the cons here is that there's a possibility of some people going AWOL, people procrastinating, and because you have a team you can lose sight of what you wanted to make in the first place since you'll spend more time managing your team.
From my experience, there's no preference in working solo or working with a group. If you're going Solo, you'll eventually have to get help somewhere. If you're working with a team, you'll eventually have to work by yourself in a department. It's all about finding the right individuals that WILL do the work, that's it.
Personally for me though, I like working solo because I'm challenging myself to overcome obstacles and being efficient in most fields. Working on my own also grants me access to understanding how every field works, which allows me to monitor large scale group projects with ease when I ever get around it.
