(If you are looking to recruit voice actors, please refer to the board titled Voice Acting.)
When posting a project, you have to make it understandable enough for others to follow. Here are some guidelines to help you when you post a project.
----
Requirements:
Thread Title: Include title of project, specify what game engine you are using (Halo, Sims, etc.), include what kind of support you need (puppeteers, writers, revisionists, editor, camerawork). If there's a deadline, please specify (refer to deadlines). Post the status of your project here.
Ex. [HALO MACHINIMA--Editors Needed--2 DAYS LEFT]
Description: What is your project about!? Give a brief summary of your project. What are your goals? Whats the plot. Who's involved. Make it interesting.
Deadlines: When are you gonna start this thing? Is there a closing time? Can anyone jump in? TELL US!
Updates: If there's any change happening in your project, if somebody's filled in the part your looking for, update the page. Keep us informed of the status of your project.
Crew: Detail us on who you need for your project. If you need somebody to help film your machinima, tell what kind of filming you need done, or what style you're looking for. If you need someone to edit specify whether or not you need moderate editing or if you need filters and special effects added. Or if you want somebody to revise your project, specify whether its a plot oriented edit, or if your dialogue needs punch-up. BE SPECIFIC.
Contact: Include method of contacting whoever posted the thread, specify whether it be via Skype, Email, IM, or whatever. Include method of exchanging files, format, where to send, and any title specifications.
==TEMPLATE==
Project Title: ____
Description: ____
Crew: ____
What are you looking for?: ____
Deadline: ____
For those of you that want to make your project thread look as professional as possible, visit this thread here.
If you're searching for voice actors for your project, a good thing to try would be to post a duplicate of your project on Voice Acting Club's Machinima Audition page. Remember to post a link to the Machinima Synthesis on the page, allowing for other machinima directors to take notice.
